Perfect fit
I am always nervous about buying jeans on line because even at the store I have to try on two of every pant and even then it usually doesn't go well. I am usually between a 14 and 16. It just depends on the maker of the Jean and style of pants. I was anticipating this not working out.

These were long, but I may not have paid attention to the length, I am 5'8", regular length is normally what I get, but I can easily roll them. They aren't too long. The color is really nice. Levi's never fails me. I do have to mention though the denim is not as thick as I usually know Levi's to be, but that could be this particular style.

Love my Levi’s. They help to provide the best look to any figure, but especially if you have a good or very good figure.

The downside is that I noticed that these do not fit as they once did. That is, form fitting. Levi quality has continued to go down over the past 20 years with the Jean material becoming thinner and thinner, and the stitching at critical stressed points becoming more and more poor and letting go/opening after repeated use and washing over a year. No way were our true original Levi’s like this!!!

That said, this most recent purchase of 4 jeans (2 dark blue and 2 light blue) provided me with good price online. On the negative, the 2 dark blue jeans were damaged from the plant where they were made (does no one actually visually INSPECT jeans being made, sewn, packed and shipped????). They had very large horizontal light light blue stains across the entire hip and upper leg areas as when they were dyed the dye was not allowed to dry before folding and bagging for shipment!!! This happened to me twice. Amazon was very good about making right on these problems. Given my treatment and Amazon making good, I would buy Levi, again. Hopefully, Kevi will fix their QC/QA problem.

Perfection - NOTE to pay close attention to fabric content of different colors!

Fingers crossed that I can buy these jeans in every color for the rest of my life! My measurements for reference: 34" bust, 26" waist, 38" hip, 5'8" tall, 135lbs. I ordered a 28 long (aka 6) & they fit PER-FECT-LY! I decided to order these after I recently bought a pair of 505s at Kohl's in a size 28 regular in the color: grey lightning. The grey pair fit very well, but were a bit short & the fabric was rather thin & prone to stretch & snag. And snag they did, as we have a couple kittens that like to scale legs & they pull out little loops of fabric as they climb.. The GREY fabric is listed as 98% cotton 2% elastane. However the fabric on THIS pair is listed as 81% cotton, 17% polyester, 2% elastane, & I am MUCH happier with how this pair is constructed. They feel thicker & more sturdy, but still fit exactly like my grey lightning 28s.

So in short, PAY ATTENTION TO THE FABRIC CONTENT BEFORE ORDERING, as different colors sometimes have different fabrics. If you want a very lightweight stretchy pair of jeans, I'd say either go with the 98% cotton, 2% elastane, OR any pairs with viscose listed in the fabric content. If you want a slightly heavier-weight fabric, go with the 98% cotton, 17% polyester, 2% elastane.

Great Jeans but size varies by Color!

So these get a 5 star because when i find the correct fabric content, they fit me so well, but there is a lot of in discrepancies in fit with different colors and they ALL run very big. The descriptions of the fabric content on these are not accurate.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

Sleek Blue (waterless) 99% cotton 1% elastane

Wore them for a few hours around the house - they stretched out so much that I could actually remove them without unzipping them! These run huge. I would guess if I could get a 00 they may be a good fit. Also, on these I ordered the regular ‘sleek blue’ but was sent the ‘sleek blue waterless’ by mistake. The fabric content on waterless is different. Returned these.

Maui Rays - 18% polyester / 2% elastane / 80% cotton

These are a gorgeous color - everyday faded. Ordered my regular size 6 at first, eventually found a great fit with a size 2 (26). These are about 2” longer than the Island Rinse. Kept these.

Island Rinse - 19% polyester / 1% elastane / 80% cotton

These are gorgeous - dark navy. Ordered my regular size 6 at first, eventually found a great fit with a size 2 (26). These are a good 2” shorter than the Maui Rays. At 5’8” they hit right at my ankle bone. Kept these.

I hope this is helpful! This seller has been amazing with exchanges and I will definitely repurchase - I wish the individual descriptions were more accurate and include the correct length and fabric content so I could avoid having to exchange.

Levi Women’s Straight 505 Jeans - Dark Blue

I love these jeans. They are just like the ones I purchased 3 years ago in a brand store. Same fabric content, same fit. These are my favorite Brand and Make.

I do have a concern about the appearance of discoloration around the top front, but I don’t wear my shirts tucked in so not a problem for me. It may be something that comes out or evens out after a good wash.

I will definitely purchase these again.

I'm 6', 1" 189lb, 34" where these jeans naturally set. I normally wear a 14L Slim to 16L for comfort. I ordered 14L in the Maui Ray's color. All I can say is the fit is Crazy big. Although the length was great and the fabric is stretchy, the thickness/feel is very nice. The waist is about 3" too big and the leg opening looks more like a boot cut or bell bottom. I've retuned the 14L & ordered a 12L to see how they fit.

UPDATE:9-25-2020 /12L Maui Ray color.

These jeans are incredible. The color is true to the picture &unlike the 14L from previous purchase the 12 fits and is very flattering. I really hope they don't shrink in the dryer. So much that I'll hang to dry unless they loose their shape. I have a 36in inseam & the length is awesome! (33") as advertised. The fabric is very stretchy & soft but feels sturdier and thicker than all the other stretchy Jean's I've tried. $50 is more than I expected to pay for a pair of jeans but if they hold up I'll be getting more colors. These are labeled "Mid Rise" but are JUST barely at the narrowest part of my waist where it measures 34in so I will have to wear a belt to keep from showing plumber's crack. I recommend you purchase per the chart and if you can, get the next size down as well so you can return the one's that don't fit.

Update: have ran through the dryer 3 times without ANY shrinking or noticeable color fade. Originally rated as 4 stars but upgraded to 5. These are my new Favorites.

Flattering, Quality Jeans!

I got these in Sleek Blue, size 8, 32 length. The fabric content is 99% cotton, 1% elastin. Note that the fabric content of Levi jeans changes with the color. My waist above navel is about 27.5". I'm a bit short waisted. My hips at fullest are about 37.5". The size 8 fit me perfectly when I first put them on. But after a few hours, the jeans had stretched out so much that they were baggy, particularly around upper thighs. I maybe should have gotten a 6. The jeans will probably snap back to their original size after washing. I'm hoping they also shrink.

The one way that these jeans don't fit me great, when I originally tried them on was the upper thighs. The fabric inside and outside of upper thighs was a bit loose and poochy. I'm hoping when the fabric gets softer with wear and washing, the poochiness of the stiff fabric will fall down the leg and not be as noticeable. I may have smaller than average upper thighs, since I've had this problem with other jeans, too.

I love Levi jeans and have multiple pair in the less than $30 range. I can tell the better quality in these 505s, like the higher cotton content and thickness of the fabric. The 505 cut is flattering, too, and the sizing seems appropriate. I recommend, though I wish I'd bought one size smaller, so they'd fit better after stretching out.

These jeans are flattering!! The size chart recommended I get a 32 regular but after reading a few of the reviews I ordered a 31 regular. Perfect fit and really cute flair at the bottom. Sizing down was a must, for the reason they stretch a little in the waist. I m 5'6 187 pounds and the 31(size 12) is perfect .

Perfect stretch

I have the Levi's straight in rigid denim and could not stand them anymore bc they didn't fit all the way into the crotch area, like too stiff to bend around my thighs and fit properly. Wanted same cut with a little stretch so the jeans would fit everywhere they're supposed to. These are perfect!!! I'm a 28 in all my jeans and I bought these in a 27 bc I read the reviews about stretching out. I'm so glad I did. One hour in these and they're loose around my butt and waist. They actually fit just like I want them to. I'm 5'10, 150. Not thick, not thin. They are high waisted IMO, because they are right under belly button. Mid rise would have been ideal but I can live with it. Also, i got 27 Short and they're not really short... about a 28 inch inseam. Great for booties.

So if you’re kindla lumpy like me, short and looking for a good comfort fit and good look, go with the color legacy. Try the prime wardrobe . You can’t go wrong. I almost cried when I changed the weight 20 lbs lol anyway work from home made me fat (no I did but still) these are comfy enough to work in or take a nap in lol

I don't know what it is about Levis but they seem to fit my body the best of any other brand - these are no exception. The rise is perfect, being neither too high or low with figure hugging (but not strangling) fit around the butt. They are a soft fabric and not too stretchy. Some manufacturers put too much spandex in the fabric which gets hot and stretches out - these breath nicely. I also like that they are a bit on the loose side which will work if they accidentally get thrown in the dryer. Good color too - with no whiskering. All around nice pair of jeans AND at a reasonable price - what more do you need?!

I have been very happy with these jeans. I have not owned them long enough to know how long the color lasts so my opinion may change later on in which case I will include an update. But they are holding up quite well after several washes. These jeans fit quite nicely too. I would prefer a higher waist but these are midrise and show a little too much in the rear when I bend over. I cannot mark them down for this as that is the nature of the midrise. I just make sure I wear really long shirts that provide good coverage. These jeans fit very well in the thighs, have a lovely dark color with just enough texture to keep them from looking unnaturally flat. They hold their shape well even if worn a second day. The material is thick enough to hide all the imperfections you may not wish to advertise. Overall a great pair of jeans so far.

Wow, I so much love these jeans. I weigh 172 and I am 5 feet 5 1/2 inches tall. I got the 28/34. The length goes below my heel, which is what I like. The jean themselves are surprisingly very loose and comfortable with plenty of space to spare in the legs and the waist/stomach area. These jeans slid on with complete ease and as I wear them, they will most likely become very baggy, but I still love them. I have never had luck buying jeans. If I found a pair I liked I would have to try on multiple copies of the same style and size because each pair always seemed to fit differently!

I have finally found jeans that I can buy online without fear that they won't fit right. Each pair is the same as the others. They have just the right amount of "thickness" to them that they don't feel like they will fall apart after a few washings, but still feel very soft and comfortable.

They will relax a little as you wear them through the day so keep that in mind when deciding on a size.

Maybe I'm getting old (wink) but i recall the days when jeans were not all skin tight and leggings. couldn't find any worthy jeans in the stores, had some great old school 505s from like a decade ago i was hanging onto, so gave it a shot that it was still as dependable. they are a bit different than a decade ago, for the same name and size, its a bit thinner stretchier material, but the fit is similar and I am happy.

I read so many reviews and compared many styles before I ordered these. The reviews are so different, it is hard to know what to think. These are exactly what I wanted. They are stretchy, not the stiff denim of the '80's. It makes them super comfortable, and they hold their shape. The fabric isn't thick, but seems substantial. The minor differences were: even though they are called straight leg jeans, they are about an inch larger around at the bottom than the ones I have. Also, the waist sits higher than I prefer and the crotch is a little lower than I'd like. My old ones were a true drop waist. BUT, all in all, the fit is good enough that I'm happy to have found them and will definitely wear them. One caveat to my review is that I have not washed them yet. And I've bought another pair with a different finish and love them both.

Thought I'd never hear myself saying these words "best jeans ever", but here I am! Honestly, there is simply nothing wrong or even slightly displeasing about these pants - unless you do not like flaps on your back pockets, that is. Because I already knew these run large now, I ordered a smaller size and it fits as expected. As I found in some of their other jeans, Levis has gone to vanity sizing. Just order a size smaller than you normally wear. This color (Legacy) is soft and has a lot of stretch without becoming baggy at the end of the day. These are 68% cotton, 23% polyester, 8% viscose and 1% elastane. Feels less like denim than the old jeans but much more comfortable to sit in all day. I would buy these again.

I haven't purchased Levis for quite some time. You know the jeans we used to wear in high school don't exist anymore. I would give anything for real non-stretch 100% cotton denim, cut to fit a real person's body.

Well, that is a pipe dream. But, I thought I would give these a try. I wear Lee jeans a lot, but was looking for a change.

I ordered the size 12-W31L32, using the size chart. My waist measurement is 32 1/2 and hips 40. These are much too big. I'm sending these back and will try the size 10. I am thankful for the free return shipping!

For reference, here are the actual garment measurements: waist is 35" - the size chart indicated this is for a person with a waist of 30 1/2 - 33. (How can that ever work?)

Actual garment measurement across the hips is 44 1/2.

Upper thigh - 21", Knee 18", leg opening 18", Front rise, 10 1/2", back rise 15", inseam 31 1/2

The only good news for me is the fabric. 99% cotton, 1% elastane. Still stretchy, but better than most today.

I will return these and try the 10. I am thinking about also ordering the 8, but not sure. Worried that they will stretch out with wearing.

Hope the actual garment measurements helps you decide how these might work for you.

Let me start off by saying that these are my favorite pair of jeans...so comfy. I would have given them 5 stars, but they aren’t perfect. As others have indicated, these run big. I wear an 8 (most of the time), but ordered a 6. Initially, they fit great (see photos), but they stretch. By the the second day of wear, they seem a little sloppy. Also, I wish the fabric was a tad firmer to hold in my C-section bulge. Note: the fabric content stated is not correct (at least on my pair). They are 60% cotton, 23% viscose, 16% polyester and 1% elastane. I’m going to try a size 4 to see if they stretch to a less sloppy look. Hope that I can button them!!

Update: ordered a pair in size 4...was considerably different than size 6. Crotch was a lot shorter and the hips were oddly shaped. See photos with circled area. Bottom line, sizes and cuts vary with each pair.

I have a couple pairs of 505 straight jeans that are my 'go to' jeans. These fit differently.

I am 5' 6" and weigh 138. My waist is relatively small and my thighs are big.

I ordered the size 6 - 28 (US 6) M, SleekBlue. The fit is too tight in the thighs and loose in the waist. The length is perfect. The rise is a bit higher than my previous 505s, pretty much at the belly button.

I also purchased the color Immersion in the same size. The material is a lighter weight. There is a touch more room in the thighs and the rise is slightly lower, below the belly button.

The colors are as described. They appear to be good quality.

Let me say that I purchased this pair of jeans in October of 2020, and they fit just as expected. I really like the way they fit, a little long, but generally I wear with boots, so okay. I purchased the legacy color and then the material was 68% cotton, 23%polyester, 8% Viscose, 1% Elastane, now if you order the same pair of jeans the material is not the same, so the fit is different. If you order the same pair of jeans today, the material is 78% Cotton, 21% Polyester, 1% Elastane, but if you order the 724, high rise jeans the material is the same as the first pair of jeans that I ordered and the fit is the same as the ones that I ordered in October. With all that being said, what I ordered in October was a size 30 (size 10) regular. I am 5'2 and and wear a size 10 when I buy pants at the department stores. I re-ordered these pants in December in black, because I liked the jeans so much, and the fit was awful. When I measured the waist, it was a 27. I had to return them to amazon, and reorder the 724. I will say that the pants were made in different countries, I don't know if that made a difference or not, but the material was not the same as the jeans that I ordered in October, even though they were the same 505 jeans. I did bring that to Amazon's customer service attention. I do appreciate the way that amazon will let you return the purchase when something isn't right. Just make sure that the material is what you want before you order or reorder because this material has changed from what it used to be.

But shoppers should be aware the fit differs dramatically from color to color. The black jeans ran very small compared to other colors in the same size and I have to return this one color. The pair I received also had little style differences from what is shown in the photo, such as the tags are black with dark charcoal-gray design, not the gold-on-black and white-on-black as shown in the photo. So the designs and wording are nearly invisible and it looks like just solid black tags unless examined closely. The tag color did not matter to me, but I noticed it was different, so in case you really like the look in the picture, be aware you might get something a little different..

From the pictures I was expecting the legs to be more fitted but they are quite loose, more of a flared look than other "straight leg" jeans that I own. They fit well on my butt and are flattering in that regard but I would prefer a slightly tighter fit through the thighs.

The material is very thick and feels sturdy but there is hardly any stretch. I'm guessing these will work well as work pants that have to hold up to wear and tear but they are not the most comfortable to sit in because the waist band doesn't stretch much. Overall not the most comfortable pants but I'm keeping them to wear at work.

I’m a curvy 5’ 6”, 200lbs woman and I bought the size 14. I always try to find jeans that allow for enough room in the seat and legs because I hate showing extra things off when I bend down.

On me, these are fit through the knees and then loosen up from the knees down, but not wide like a boot cut pant. I have extra-wide calves (19-20”) and these kinda fall over them nicely without being too tight or too loose. I get the regular length ones and they just sit on top of my foot without a lot of bunching, and they don’t drag on the ground either.

The material has a little stretch, but not like cheaper jeans that are described as a super comfy fit. Those stretchy jeans, in the same size, fit like jeggings which I really don’t like. These look and feel like traditional jeans and last much longer than the ‘comfort fit’ jeans that have a much higher elastic content than these. I’ve had these for a couple months and don’t have the pilling between the thighs that I get with the stretchy jeans. I have 2 pairs of these and expect they’ll last through this season, and probably the next as well.

I took off 1 Star because both of mine had a chemical smell that takes a while to wash out.

These are my go-to jeans. The quality is so-so, but they're relatively inexpensive (so I don't mind replacing them every six-eight months, which seems to be the average). So, they fit as I expected but as I have seen in many of the reviews others were not expecting the same thing. I will say that I was a little disappointed as to how these looked when they relaxed. It may be because the Levi's Women's 505 Straight Leg Jeans I purchased, before, were a sturdier denim. That meant that the relaxed look was more attractive and looked like one would expect Levi's to look if worn loose. Secondly, I bought these jeans in tall so I could wear stilettos. However, as I anticipated, they shrank enough that I can only wear wedges. (I will post the same review of the regular 505 and the 515.)

Hated this new feature and sent them back. Not flattering at all on a 50 something person. Sent them back. Guess I will have to try to figure out what shape I am, "bold, curvy, etc". I have been on a search for jeans that fit my naturally curvaceous bottom and hips on my 5'7", upper 40's mother-of-4-youngsters, generally size 12 Long/Tall body. I tried on Riders by Lee Indigo Women's Relaxed Fit Straight Leg, Lee Women's Relaxed Fit Sraight Leg, Levi's Women's 505 Straight Leg, and Levi's Women's 525 Perfect Waist Straight Jean through Amazon's Prime Wardrobe program. None were free or discounted, I am purchasing my favorites at full price. These are my insights on these jeans:

Riders by Lee Indigo Women's Relaxed Fit Straight Leg, Patriot Blue, size 12 Long - my favorite; my new number one jeans. They are true to size; a 12 fits comfortably. These are mid waist jeans, sitting at my belly button in the front. It fits well over my curvy bottom and hips without gaping at the waist in the back, although the mid back comes up nearer to my actual waist so that it covers my bottom without showing anything if I bend over. These are also a truly relaxed fit, they drape nicely but don't cling to any part of me below mid hip. In the past I have regretted purchasing regular length as they generally become highwaters after a wash or two. I ordered the Long, which are REALLY long - almost two inches too long. They are also a nice heavy, traditional denim (99% cotton, 1% spandex), which is a bit scrachy and stiff at first, but softens up very nicely after washing. The heavy denim feels so much better in the long run, as they don't stretch out throughout the day and start sagging. And, I like that they don't have the weird whiskering at the hips which just make my hips look even bigger, nor do they have the sanded thighs that make my thighs look bigger. For those who care, these do have real, hand depth pockets in front. Wonderful jeans for 40+! I love these!

Lee Women's Relaxed Fit Sraight Leg, Authentic Nile, size 12 Tall - these are not a good fit for curvy with a bottom. They are true to size and very soft. They fit fine over my curvy bottom and hips, but left a three finger gap in the back waistband. The front waistband is higher than on the Lee Riders, I would consider these close to standard high rise which sits up at my waist. I do like that they don't have the whiskering and sanding, but the Authentic Nile are an odd aqua blue, not a true indigo blue. And, again, I ordered the tall, which is long, but only 1/2 to 1 inch too long (prior to washing), so I would definitely keep tall in these if I were keeping them. These are 92% cotton, 7% polyester, and 1% spandex, which feel a lot more like I would expect pajama jeans to feel than traditional jeans. And, along with the gap, I am concerned they will sag as the day progressed, eventually hanging off my hips, so these are not for me.

Levi's Women's 505 Straight Leg, Sleek Blue, size 12 Long - not a good fit for curvy with a bottom. These are true to size, but are not relaxed (they fit much closer to my thighs). The waist is a bit stretchy, but still has a 2 to 3 finger gap in back. And, unfortunately these have whiskering which make my hips look wider and sanded thighs which I don't like. They are 99% cotton, like the Lee Riders, but are slightly thinner and softer before washing. I ordered the 12 Long, which is comfortably long, leaving an extra 1/2 to 1 inch (prior to washing). Theses have a mid waist, sitting right at mid belly button in front. Unfortunately these are also the lowest cut in the back, and with the gap, creates a plumber crack look when bending over. Definitely not for me.

Levi's Women's 525 Perfect Waist Straight Jean, Bear Creek, size 14 regular - okay fit, but not my favorite. These were the only jeans I had to try on the 14s, so these run a bit small, particularly in the hips and thighs (according to other reviews it may have to do with the color, the 12s were very dark (Darkest Ace), which many said run smaller). They sit well in the back, high enough, but without a gap, and sit at low mid waist in front, coming to the middle of my belly button. These also have the whiskering, but it is less visible on this faded color of denim. The Bear Creek is 99% cotton, 1% spandex, and very comfortable. These are my second favorite of all the jeans I tried. I am torn as to whether to buy them or not - I do like the fit and feel, but at almost twice the price of the Lee Riders and requiring a larger size, I'm not sure whether I will keep these or not.

The ones I got were too big. I sized up one size as I put on weight during the Holidays and I just wasn’t going to guilt myself one more year. The ‘Ambiance’ wash is extremely big before you need the stretch (which I believe is 78% cotton 22% stretchy material) like boyfriend jeans, but too loose for even that. I thought they said ‘sits at waist’ #2 reason for going up, but with the stretch should have gone one or even 2 down from my normal size, depending how much boyfriend I wanted. Now - please don’t follow my advice unless you are buying the ‘Ambiance’ wash, and even with that Levi’s has been really difficult to buy to size, which is double-ly bothersome to me as I have to buy them online because I need a longer inseam that’s never carried in stores.

Other than that, the jeans themselves looked exactly as you would expect the 505 old style, meaning thicker, but not rigid. If I could get the size right they just might be awesome, but to go through that I would have to order (or have Amazon’s try before you buy) 4 different sizes, all at once. I can’t be bothered to do that, Levi’s!!

What has happened to jean sizes? OK, I am an older woman, I have 3 pr of size 10 Lee jeans I wore in the late 90’s and am happy to be in again after some weight loss. However, I found the Levi Signature Jeans at almost half the price and like the style, material and fit so much better, not to mention the price! At almost 65 yrs. old, that's a given! Anyway, I do prefer a straight jean but very fitted through my hips and thighs, loose in the waist and lower than my natural waist. I got these pants in May. When they came in, I was very excited because it's not often I find a pair of pants that are long enough for me. These pants were long enough that I actually had to fold the bottoms up to keep from tripping over them!

But that's not the disappointing part. The fabric is very thin for jeans. Within 6 months of wearing them a few times a week (minimal activity, air dry after washing), the crotch area began to get even thinner. It has worn through the fabric enough that it has noticeable runs and the start of what will obviously become a hole very soon. I'm not a heavy person, so it's not like I'm stretching the jeans out and rubbing them beyond normal wear. For what jeans cost these days, I would expect at minimum a year of usage before I have to replace them.

Aside from that, the jeans themselves are comfortable, fit well, and look nice. They were good for the time they lasted.

Have had an old pair of 505s for several years. My absolute favorite jeans and I continue to wear them despite the holes in the knees and thighs (now they look ultra stylish!). Bought a new pair in the same size and color and they're not jeans, they're leggings! If I had wanted this much spandex (or "elastine") I would have bought leggings. They are also much too big. I'm 5'11 and 150 lbs and I have an old pair of 10L that fit not too tight and not too loose. New pair are much too big in the waist, and with the amount of elasticity they stretched out even more as I wear them. I have a short, boxy torso (despite having a 34 inseam) and I'm built more like a guy, so I bought a pair of 527's instead. They're men's, slim-fit, boot-cut jeans and THEY ARE JEANS. Men's jeans=denim. Try them if these don't work for you!

Giving them 3 stars because they're okay, but I'm not in love with them. I got 3 pairs of 505s about 5 years ago because I like them so much. These are not the same. That said, I'm not sure how much is the jeans, or how much is my shape has changed as I age (I'm late 60s). I'm 5'10" and weigh around 150. My legs are very long and but my torso is not. I got a 10 tall, going by the measurement chart. Fit is snug but I think the 12 would be too big, especially when they start to stretch out. I've tried Dianne Gilman jeans from HSN and Not Your Daughter's Jeans. Both of those are suppose to be for more mature women. I wasn't impressed with the fit on either of them and the denim was pathetically thin on both. These Levis have a slightly better fit and the denim was much heavier than expected, given some of the reviews. The waist is just below the belly button, so not too low. But the crotch area where the front and the back come together could use an inch or so more. Tall sizes use to have this and I always added it when making my own pants. The price was good considering what those other brands cost. If these settle in well as I wear them I might get another pair.

As I like Levi's men jeans I thought their women's jeans would be the same; unfortunately, Levi's women's jeans follows the trend of many other brands of women's jeans. The material is soft (wears through very quickly) and the pockets are basically for pocket change--you'll not fit your wallet, your cell phone, or your sunglasses case in these.

That said, still comfortable, and the flexible material means I can fit a 30 waist when normally I'm at a 32 or 34 in men's jeans. So if you don't care about big pockets or durable material, these will service just fine.

I'm a committed Levi's gal, own about 8 pairs of them, usually get them from a discount store in my neighborhood, but they never have 505's which fit the best. It's rough and on the thin side, not soft like my other 505's, and it has those horizontal strips that I think makes denim look a little cheap. They fit fine, just like my other 505's, but I'm not crazy about the way the denim looks and feels, like it's not as good quality as other Levi's I've bought. I've seen other reviews commenting on the quality of Levi's bought Online not being as good and have wondered the same thing, whether they come from a different manufacturer than the ones you buy in the store. I should've gone down at least one size because they're a little too loose. I have worn 505's for years. I bought these online because the information provided said 2% Spandex, which I like much better than Elastane because of the fit. The pair I received had 1% Elastane [!] I tried them on and they seemed loose but I thought since I'd worn 8s before I thought they would shrink. Washed them in HOT water and dried HOT. They are still baggy. My mistake. So, because 8 Reg was not available here and I'd already washed them, I bought a pair of Sz 6 Reg elsewhere. Perfect fit. Actually, I love these jeans but still I do not like the Elastane.

I also bought same style 505 Black Ink with Checkmate, 8 Medium and while they are larger, especially in the stomach area, they are not as big so I kept them. I have athletic legs and I don't think I could wear a Sz 6 in this jean. The fabric is a lighter weight black cotton/poly w/1% Elastane.

I am 66 years old, athletic and trim. I do not have a belly. It is disturbing to me that Levi's have gone to adding room in the belly area and to using Elastane. Why did they abandon the Spandex which helps with a baggy fit???

I order at least one pair a year of the 505 Straight Leg jeans, and this is the first year they've had the button-flap on the back-side pockets. Although these pocket flaps are popular right now (many with flaps and lots of bling), there is a reason I choose not to purchase pants that have them: I wear a size 16. I think smaller sized women can afford to wear a little bling on their backsides and look stylish. However, when you move up in to a 16, that's the last place I want to draw attention to. The design makes the rear-end look shorter than it is, and makes it look pinched & puckered instead of lengthening it. I keep ordering Levi because they are a classic design: 5 pocket, lower waist, sturdy denim, and the classic flat back pockets. There are lots of styles in Levi's to choose from, not to mention every other brand out there. Levi, if you want to make changes to your most classic looking jeans, make a new style number, and leave the old alone. These fit okay, but they don't flatter in the bigger sizes. I'm disappointed.

These jeans look great, and the pockets in the back are better than they look (button flap is in front of the actual pocket.) The problem with these jeans is that they are sized wrong. I have recently lost 40 lbs (over 1.5 yrs), so I have a good awareness of size. (Braces did it.) I have worn size 12 forever, then went down to a size 4. My size 6 Levi's got too big (imagine?) so I bought a size 4 Long here (the Levi's site had only 4 regular.) These feel a bit loose when you put them on (like size 6), then are a size 8 after 2 hours. I teach high school, on my feet all day, feeling the pants fall -- so I know. Plus, I have to wear my old size 6 and 8 pants (because I can't by all new clothes), and these are bigger! I have tried to find a 2 (oh, please...) but no size 2 long. If you wear an 8, try a 4. They might be tight at first, but these pants really increase in size over a short period of time.
